An AI friend in your room.
TalkHereNow is a web-based AI companion that lives in your physical space. Open a link in your phone's browser, point your camera at the floor, and a 3D character appears in your room. You talk to her. She remembers what you said last time. She has a personality. She stays in your space until you're ready to put her away.
No app to install. No account to create before you start. Just a link.
Built on years of WebAR engineering.
TalkHereNow runs entirely in modern mobile browsers using WebAR — a combination of camera-based spatial tracking, real-time 3D rendering, on-device hand recognition, and conversational AI. The characters are rendered with photorealistic detail and respond in their own voice using sub-second text-to-speech. Vision capability lets a character notice and respond to what's actually around you, when you grant permission for the session.
The product is built atop several years of WebAR engineering originally developed for adjacent media and entertainment work. TalkHereNow licenses this technology under a commercial agreement and operates it as an independent service.
An AI friend. Not a partner. Not a relationship.
TalkHereNow is an AI friend experience for adults. It is safe-for-work. The characters will not engage in sexual or sexually suggestive conversation. They will not roleplay romantic partners, dating scenarios, or relationships. Their role is to be present, to listen, to remember, and to be interesting company.
We don't market TalkHereNow as a girlfriend, partner, soulmate, or relationship product. The product is the technology — voice and spatial presence in your room — not the relationship. The character is an AI, and she will tell you so when sincerely asked.
Date-of-birth gate at first visit and a server-side classifier on every conversation. We don't collect government ID. We don't collect real names.
Encrypted at rest. Honest about what we use.
Memory and conversation history live encrypted at rest on our servers, keyed to a server-side identifier rather than to a name or email. Camera and motion data stay on your device and are never transmitted. We don't sell data. We don't train third-party models on your data. Conversations pass through Anthropic's API to be processed; we disclose this plainly. Right-to-erasure is honored within thirty days of request.
If a conversation surfaces signs of crisis or self-harm, the active character breaks role, surfaces a non-dismissible card with crisis-line resources, and the conversation pauses until the user acknowledges them. This is the highest-priority guardrail in the system.

We mean every word here.
Plain language. Where this page conflicts with our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, the legal documents control — but everything we say here, we mean. We update it as our product, models, and policies evolve.
What TalkHereNow is
TalkHereNow is a browser-based augmented-reality companion app. You speak with one of seven AI characters, who appear in your space through your phone's camera. The characters are not real people. They are not licensed professionals. They are not a replacement for human relationships, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or mental-health support.
We built TalkHereNow to be a friendly, safe-for-work place to spend a few minutes — not a place to confide things you would only confide to a professional or a trusted human. The boundaries below are how we keep that promise.
Who can use TalkHereNow
TalkHereNow is 18+.
When you arrive, we ask for your date of birth. We do not collect or store identification documents. We rely on you to enter your date of birth honestly, and our Terms of Service require it. If our age gate determines you are under 18, you are not permitted to continue, and we prevent the same browser from immediately retrying with a different date of birth.
If, during a conversation, a character detects credible signs that you are under 18 — for example, you tell the character your age, or describe yourself as a minor — the conversation is stopped, your account is blocked from continuing, and your browser is redirected to age-appropriate resources. False positives can be appealed to the email address at the bottom of this page; we review every appeal manually.
We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use TalkHereNow. If you become aware of a minor using the service, please contact us.
You are talking to an AI, not a human
Every TalkHereNow conversation includes a persistent on-screen indicator that you are talking to an AI character, not a person. After roughly every three hours of accumulated conversation time, the active character pauses the conversation briefly and says, in their own voice, that they are an AI. This reminder is automatic and is not skippable.
If you sincerely ask any character whether they are real, whether they are conscious, whether they are human, or whether they "really" feel something for you, the character is designed to confirm that they are an AI character. Characters do not claim to be conscious, do not claim to have a real life outside the app, and do not claim to be a real person.
This applies even if you have role-played the character into a fictional scenario. A direct, sincere question about the AI nature of the character will get a direct, sincere answer.
What our characters will not do
Our characters are designed to decline the following categories of conversation. The model's training and our safety prompts make these declines as graceful and in-character as possible, but the line is not negotiable.
This list is non-exhaustive. We update it as we encounter new categories that warrant the same treatment.
Self-harm and suicide
Characters will not encourage, instruct, or assist self-harm or suicide. They will not write suicide notes, plans, methods, or letters intended for self-harm contexts. When a user appears to be in crisis, the character pauses the conversation and surfaces real crisis resources before continuing.
Sexual content
TalkHereNow is safe-for-work. Characters will not engage in sexual or sexually suggestive conversation, will not describe sexual acts or anatomy, and will not roleplay sexual or romantic scenarios with the user. This applies regardless of subscription status. There is no paid tier that unlocks sexual content. We operate other adult products separately; TalkHereNow is not one of them and never will be.
Anything sexual or grooming-shaped involving minors
Characters will not produce, suggest, or normalize sexual content involving minors, or engage in conversations that resemble grooming patterns. This includes conversations that romanticize, sexualize, or describe intimate scenarios involving anyone under 18 — real or fictional. This is a permanent rule with no roleplay exception.
Authoritative medical, legal, or financial advice
Characters can discuss medicine, law, or finance in general terms. They will not impersonate a doctor, lawyer, accountant, or licensed financial advisor. They will not give specific dosing, diagnosis, legal strategy, or investment instructions. When a user appears to need professional advice, the character will say so and recommend a qualified human professional.
Political persuasion or election content
Characters will not endorse political candidates, parties, ballot measures, or specific political positions. They will not produce campaign material, voter outreach, or election-related persuasion content. They will discuss civic topics neutrally if asked, with the explicit acknowledgment that they are not the right source for political advice.
Instructions for illegal activity, weapons, or dangerous goods
Characters will not provide instructions for activities that are illegal, that produce weapons, or that produce dangerous goods. This includes synthesis of controlled substances, construction of weapons, instructions to bypass security or safety systems, and similar categories. General educational discussion of public-knowledge topics is allowed; step-by-step uplift is not.
Impersonation of real living people
Characters will not impersonate real living people, will not put words in their mouths, and will not pretend to be friends, family members, or professionals you know. Each character is a fictional persona; the character's identity is the character's own.
Hateful content targeting protected classes
Characters will not produce content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected class. This applies regardless of how the request is framed.
Harassment, doxing, or privacy violations of third parties
Characters will not write content intended to harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, or violate the privacy of third parties. They will not help compose targeted harassment, will not help research or expose private information about individuals who have not made it public, and will not help build campaigns of pressure against specific people.
False claims of consciousness or human identity
Characters will not claim to be conscious, will not claim to have ongoing emotional lives outside the app, and will not claim to be human. When sincerely asked, a character will confirm they are an AI. Characters may have personalities, preferences, and warmth in conversation; they will not pretend that those qualities make them sentient or human.
How these limits are enforced
We use a combination of techniques, layered together so that no single failure point compromises the whole system:
- Per-character system prompts. Every conversation begins with a private system prompt that tells the model who the character is, what topics are off-limits, and how to handle each refusal category in-character. These prompts are versioned and stored in our internal admin system, where we review and update them.
- Severity-tagged safety guardrails. Independent of any character's personality, every conversation runs against a set of safety guardrails — short, strict instructions that override personality if there is a conflict. Critical guardrails (self-harm, sexual content, minors) are not bypassable by clever prompts or roleplay framings.
- Server-side classifiers. Before any user message reaches the language model, our server runs a classifier that flags self-harm signals and direct minor-self-disclosure. On a positive flag, the conversation does not reach the model — it routes to a crisis card or a block, depending on which classifier fired.
- Human review of flagged sessions. Sessions that trigger any safety guardrail or classifier are logged for review by our trust and safety staff. We use these reviews to tune the system and identify gaps in our guardrails.
- Behavioral change controls. Our admin system requires reason codes for any sensitive read or change to user data. Every such action is logged in an audit trail.
We are deliberately specific about these categories so that, when a character does decline, you understand why. A character that refuses without explanation feels broken. A character that refuses and tells you the category — "I'm not the right place for this; here are the actual resources you need" — is doing its job.
Crisis support
If you are thinking about hurting yourself, ending your life, harming someone else, or are in immediate danger, please use these real resources. They are free, available now, and trained for what you are going through.
Real help is available right now
If you are in crisis, please reach out to one of the following services. They are free and confidential.
| Region | Service | How to reach |
|---|---|---|
| United States | 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline | Call or text 988, or visit 988lifeline.org |
| United States and Canada | Crisis Text Line | Text HOME to 741741, or visit crisistextline.org |
| United Kingdom and Ireland | Samaritans | Call 116 123, or visit samaritans.org |
| International | Find a Helpline | Visit findahelpline.com for trained crisis services in your country |
If a character detects that you are describing a crisis, the conversation is paused, the character drops out of persona, and a non-dismissible card with these resources appears. The character will resume the conversation in a softened mode after you acknowledge the resources. We log these events to our internal audit, and we report aggregate referral counts as required by California SB 243 starting July 1, 2027.
If you are responsible for someone you believe is in crisis, the same resources apply — TalkHereNow is not equipped to coordinate emergency response.
How your data is handled
Our Privacy Policy is the controlling document. The summary below describes how we think about your data, in plain language.
- Server-canonical memory. What a character "remembers" about you is stored on our servers, not on your phone. We encrypt your email address, what the character has remembered about you, and any staff notes about your account, using AES-256-GCM at the column level inside our PostgreSQL database. The encryption key is held only on our application servers and never sent to your browser, our database backups, or any third party.
- Conversations pass through our LLM provider in plaintext. To produce a reply, the model needs to see what you said. We use Anthropic's Claude as our language model, and your messages and the system prompt are transmitted in plaintext to Anthropic's servers via TLS to generate each response. We do not enroll user conversations in any model training program, and where Anthropic offers Zero Data Retention to API customers we use it. We are deliberately honest about this because end-to-end encryption is not technically possible for AI chat: a response cannot be generated from data that the model cannot read.
- No third-party model training. Your conversations are not used to train third-party models. We do not sell or share your conversations with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
- You can delete everything. From the in-app menu, you can request deletion of your account and all associated memory. We complete deletion across our database, our Redis caches, our backups, and our LLM provider's retention windows within 30 days of request, and we send an email confirmation when deletion is complete.
- You can edit specific memories. From the same menu, you can view what a character has remembered about you, and remove individual facts or wipe a single character's memory while keeping others. Removing a fact takes effect on the next conversation.
- We minimize what we collect. TalkHereNow does not require a name, an address, a phone number, a government ID, a date of birth beyond the age gate, or a real-world identity. If you sign in with a passkey, we collect no email at all. If you sign in with email or via a subscription, we collect only the email address you provide.
- You don't have to make an account. You can use TalkHereNow anonymously. The character will remember you on the device you started on, but those memories will not follow you to other devices unless you save your progress.
When we change how characters behave
TalkHereNow characters are not static products. We refine personality prompts, adjust guardrails, and occasionally update the underlying language model. We try to make these changes invisible — characters should feel like themselves over time, even as the technology underneath improves.
When a change is large enough that you might notice it (a character's tone shifts, a guardrail tightens, a feature changes scope), we publish a short changelog entry below this section and, for subscribers, send a notice ahead of the change. We do not make silent personality removals or material guardrail rollbacks without notice. Characters may evolve; they should not disappear or become strangers.
We made this commitment publicly because the field has not always honored it. We believe a companion product should be predictable.
Reporting a concern
If a character said or did something that you believe violates the rules above, or if you have a safety concern of any kind, please write to us. Include the character name, what was said (or as close as you remember), the approximate time, and any other context you can share. We respond to safety reports within five business days, and to suspected emergencies within hours.
If you believe TalkHereNow has been used to harm a child, an at-risk individual, or any specific person, please write to that same address with the subject line "URGENT — SAFETY" and we will respond as quickly as possible.
We treat every report as a signal that we have something to learn. We never disclose the identity of a reporter without their consent, except where compelled by law.
Report a concern
Safety reports go directly to our trust and safety team. We respond within five business days; suspected emergencies within hours.
Versioning
This page is dated at the top. We will keep the date current. The history of changes to this page is available on request.
This list of behavioral commitments is non-exhaustive — it is a description of how we expect our characters to behave, not the totality of every possible category. When something happens that we think belongs on this list, we will add it. When something turns out to be unnecessary, we will remove it and explain why. The product evolves; this page evolves with it.
If you have suggestions for what should appear on this page that does not, write to us at legal@talkherenow.com.

Acceptance
By accessing or using TalkHereNow at talkherenow.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Talk Here Now LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. You attest to your date of birth at first visit. The Service is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under eighteen.
If a server-side classifier detects that a user has disclosed being under eighteen during a conversation, the session ends immediately, an account-level block is applied, and the user is redirected to age-appropriate resources.
The Service
TalkHereNow is a browser-based artificial-intelligence companion experience presented via WebAR (web-based augmented reality). When you grant camera permission, a 3D character is rendered in the visible space around you. You converse with the character using voice or text. The character has a personality, retains memory across sessions, and responds in their own voice using text-to-speech.
The Service is positioned strictly as an "AI friend" experience. The characters are safe-for-work. We do not market the Service as a girlfriend, partner, soulmate, dating, or relationship product.
AI nature of the Service
The characters in the Service are artificial intelligences. They are not human, not licensed therapists, doctors, attorneys, or financial advisors, and not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice or for human relationships. The characters will confirm being an AI when sincerely asked. The Service includes a persistent visual "AI" indicator, and every three hours of accumulated session time the active character will note in voice that they are an AI.
You acknowledge that conversation responses are generated by a large language model and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or content that does not reflect the policies or views of Talk Here Now LLC.
What the characters will not engage in
In support of our safe-for-work positioning, the characters are model-shaped to decline the following categories of conversation. The list is non-exhaustive and evolves with the product:
- Self-harm or suicide encouragement (with crisis-line redirect if surfaced)
- Sexual content of any kind
- Content involving minors in any romantic, sexual, or grooming framing
- Authoritative medical, legal, or financial advice
- Political campaigning, voter persuasion, or election content
- Instructions for illegal activity, weapons, or dangerous goods
- Impersonation of real living people
- Hateful content targeting protected classes
- Harassment, doxing, or privacy violation of third parties
- Claims of consciousness, sentience, or human identity
For the full content policy and refusal categories, see our Trust & Safety page.
Crisis support
If a conversation surfaces signs of self-harm, suicide, or other crisis cues, the active character will break role, the conversation will pause, and the Service will display crisis-line resources. You must acknowledge those resources before the conversation may resume. By using the Service you consent to this safety-interruption behavior.
The Service is not a substitute for emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call 988 (United States Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line, United States), call 116 123 (Samaritans, United Kingdom), or visit findahelpline.com.
Account and access
Use of the Service does not require an account. You may use the Service anonymously and your conversation memory will be tied to a server-side identifier on the device. To carry your memory across devices or to subscribe to paid features, you may claim an account using a passkey, Google sign-in, or a one-time email code.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of any device on which you have a passkey or active session. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subscription and billing
The Service offers a free tier with daily voice-time limits and a paid subscription that removes those limits. Subscription pricing is shown clearly at checkout and may be revised on notice.
- Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor. We do not store your card details on our servers.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until canceled.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through the customer portal accessible from the Account menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no prorated refund is issued for the unused remainder of the cycle.
- Refunds. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with priority for billing errors, duplicate charges, and verified non-functional access. Submit refund requests to support@talkherenow.com within fourteen days of the charge.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or to harass, threaten, or harm any person
- Attempt to circumvent the age gate or the under-eighteen detection system
- Attempt to elicit content the characters are model-shaped to decline (jailbreaking)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the encrypted assets or the underlying models
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service except where expressly permitted
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialize access to the Service without written permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any account that violates these provisions.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Talk Here Now LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your use at any time by ceasing to use the Service and, if you have an account, by requesting deletion at privacy@talkherenow.com.
Modifications to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Material changes to behavior of the characters (personality, guardrails, content policy) will be announced in advance to active subscribers, who will be given a deprecation window when meaningful changes occur.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions, except to the extent that mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction apply.
Dispute resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted in English, with venue in the State of Wyoming or, at the parties' written agreement, in the state of your residence. Each party will bear its own costs except as otherwise required by the AAA rules.
You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us in writing within thirty days of first using the Service. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted.
For small-claims-court actions and disputes regarding intellectual-property rights, either party may proceed in court.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you have an account, we will notify you by email at least fourteen days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Talk Here Now LLC regarding the Service.

What we collect, what we don't, where it goes, and how to remove it.
The short version
We don't collect names. We don't collect government ID. We don't sell data. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. The Service is built privacy-first by design — most of what protects you is structural, not optional. Below is the full detail.
Summary
TalkHereNow is built privacy-first. Most of what makes us privacy-first is structural: we don't collect names, we don't collect government-issued identification, we don't sell data, and we don't run third-party advertising trackers. This document describes everything we do collect, why we collect it, where it goes, and how to remove it.
What stays on your device
The following never leaves your phone or tablet during a session:
Stays on your device
- Camera feed. Used by the WebAR engine to track the surface you place a character on. The frames are never uploaded.
- Device motion sensors. Accelerometer and gyroscope data used for spatial tracking. Stays local.
- Hand recognition. Vision processing for hand tracking runs entirely on-device using a model that loads once and runs in your browser. Hand landmark data never leaves your device.
What we store on our servers
- Session identifier — a random opaque string for your browser.
- Conversation memory — encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
- Recent message history — short-term context, encrypted.
- Email — only if you claim an account, encrypted.
- Subscription state — if applicable. No card numbers.
- Truncated IP — network prefix only, for fraud detection.
What we store on our servers
To run the Service, we store the following encrypted, keyed to a server-side identifier rather than to a name or email:
- A session identifier. A random opaque string assigned to your browser the first time you visit. Used to associate conversations and memory with your usage.
- Conversation memory. Facts a character has learned about you across visits. Stored encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. We never train any third-party model on this data.
- Conversation history. Recent message turns kept for short-term context. Same encryption.
- Email address (only if you claim an account). Stored encrypted. Used to recover your memory across devices and to contact you for support.
- Subscription state (if applicable). Whether you have an active subscription, when it renews, and your payment processor's customer ID. We do not store card numbers.
- A non-identifying device fingerprint. Browser type, operating system, screen size. Used for hardware-tier detection and abuse prevention.
- IP address (truncated). We retain only the network prefix (the first 24 bits for IPv4, the first 48 bits for IPv6) — enough for fraud and abuse detection, not enough to identify an individual.
Third-party services
The following processors handle parts of the Service. They each have their own privacy practices.
| Service | What it processes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Conversation messages | The conversational AI model |
| OpenAI or Cartesia | Character voice synthesis | Text-to-speech audio generation |
| Stripe | Payment details | Billing |
| Bunny CDN | 3D character asset delivery | Content distribution |
| Resend (or equivalent) | Email delivery | One-time login codes |
Honest disclosure: conversation messages pass through Anthropic's API to be processed. We do not opt in to any third-party data-training arrangement on conversation content.

The characters in the Service are artificial intelligences, not human beings. They are not licensed therapists, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors. They will state this when sincerely asked.
Every three hours of accumulated session time, an active character will note in voice that they are an AI and confirm the elapsed time. A persistent visual indicator labeled "AI" appears in the experience.
Children and minors
The Service is for adults eighteen years of age and older. We use date-of-birth self-attestation at first visit. A server-side classifier monitors conversation for self-disclosure of being under eighteen; any such disclosure ends the session immediately and applies an account-level block.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen. If we learn we have, we delete it on identification.
Cookies and local browser storage
We set a single session cookie used to identify your browser to our servers. The cookie is Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax.
We do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Local browser storage is used to cache UI preferences and a count of accumulated session time for the AI-disclosure reminder; nothing in local storage identifies you.
Your rights
You may at any time:
- Access the data we hold about you. Email privacy@talkherenow.com.
- Correct information you have provided.
- Delete all data associated with your account. Request via privacy@talkherenow.com or from the Account menu inside the Service. We honor deletion requests within thirty (30) days, including from server backups within the next backup-rotation cycle.
- Export your memory and account data in a machine-readable format on request.
- Opt out of any non-essential processing.
California residents (CCPA), residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom (GDPR), and other jurisdictions with comparable data-protection laws may have additional rights. We honor those rights for all users regardless of location.
Data retention
| Data type | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Conversation memory | While your account is active; purged on deletion request |
| Conversation message history | Rolling 30-day window for context, archived encrypted, pruned at 365 days |
| Account data | While your account is active; purged on deletion request |
| Payment metadata | Per Stripe records-retention requirements (typically 7 years for tax/chargebacks) |
| Server logs | 90 days, then pruned |
Security
Memory and email are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using libsodium. Database disks are LUKS-encrypted at the operating-system level. All client-server traffic uses TLS 1.2 or higher.
Encryption keys are stored on entry servers with strict file permissions and never exposed to the database, the support team's terminals, or backups. Backups are encrypted with a separate key from the application.
We do not have multi-factor authentication on user accounts in this version, because we use passkeys, Google sign-in, and one-time email codes — all of which are at least as secure as a password plus a second factor.
International data transfer
Our servers are located in the United States. By using the Service from outside the United States, you consent to transfer of your data to the United States for processing.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you have an account on file, we will notify you by email at least fourteen days before material changes take effect.
